2023 - The flâneurs' program
The following walks and art sessions on offer below are for you to explore your possibilities, to connect with Nature, see beyond the obvious and access your creative energy. It is aimed at people who perhaps would not go and do these walks by themselves, or engage in an artistic activity alone as they may need the support of a group, or the guidance from someone they feel a connection with. I love working with people, and help them becoming inspired by what they can do or achieve. During these walks or creative sessions, I work intuitively by adjusting to the moment, and the dynamic of the group. When appropriate we may meditate or do yogic breathing (pranayama), we may practice visualization, or explore our hidden talents. It is also about taking time to BE, to BREATHE, to SEE. Whether the practice is in the city or in the wildness of Nature it is about letting go of our conditioned mind, observing in a leisurely way the passing of time, becoming a flâneur.
REGENT'S PARK:
Saturday 15th July - 2 - 5.30pm THEME: 'INTRODUCTION TO SKETCHING' This afternoon session will be an introduction to sketching, and will include a short meditation at the beginning and the end. You don't need to be an experienced artist to try it out, and you will see how much you can train your eyes by looking at buildings, people and spaces. I will guide you through techniques and exercises. We will meet at Baker Street station at 1.45 pm and walk to the park together. Please reserve your space the day before at the latest. COST: £45 - includes a small A5 sketchbook, and the use of basic materials. I encourage you to bring your own pen/pencil or other medium of your choice. |
CHORLEYWOOD Sunday 23rd July - 11 - 5pm THEME: 'THE ART OF DIVINATION THROUGH INTUITION' This pleasant walk in the Chilterns has easy access from the metropolitan line, and offers a lovely stretch through the celandine wood. During the day we will take breaks to have some lunch (you will need to bring your own picnic) and uncover our imagination and intuition by using the symbolic of tarot cards. (Please note this is not about learning to read the tarot cards but using the deck as a tool for creative thinking). We will also stop for a short guided meditation and pranayama. We will meet at Chorleywood station at 11am and finish at Chalford and Latimer station, which is also on the metropolitan line. Please reserve your space the day before at the latest. COST: £40 |
